Last Wednesday my alarm went off very, very early. My ride, including the lovely Florence van der Poel, was waiting in front of my house at 7 am to take me to Eindhoven. 1,5 hours and some coffee cravings later, we arrived at the Albert Heijn XL Future Store. This new store was about to be opened and this wasn’t possible without some nice refreshments & bites on the side.
Dilmah Tea Cocktails
Dilmah has been available in Albert Heijn stores throughout the Netherlands for over a year now. To celebrate the occasion of opening up AH’s first Future Store, I’ve created a non-alcoholic cocktail with Dilmah tea to hand out to all the store staff and their customers. It’s a quite easy to reproduce at home recipe, so ‘do try it’!
If you have any questions or if you’d like to leave feedback, there is a comment area at the bottom of the recipe.
Missy Mint cocktail
As you might have heard, Missy Elliott was rocking at the Super Bowl last week. I’ve decided to give her a little shout out by naming the Missy Mint cocktail in her honour.
100 ml Dilmah Peppermint leaves with Ceylon Cinnamon tea
30 ml organic apple juice
10 ml fresh lime juice
15 ml Monin sugar syrup
5 fresh mint leaves
1 lime wedge
1 cinnamon stick
1 mint sprig
Missy Elliott, she’s back!
shake the tea, apple juice, lime juice and sugar syrup over ice cubes
fill a longdrink glass with ice cubes and mint leaves
strain the cocktail into the longdrink glass
garnish with a straw, cinnamon stick, lime wedge and a sprig of fresh mint
